Class Description:
Adapted and brought to the US from the Fijian and New Zealand islands by Lolita Knight, this style of barefoot massage is performed on the floor mat with the client clothed.  Fijian massage incorporates specific deep pressure followed by a vigorous jostling movement to the larger muscle groups. Fijian massage works with intensity by using our strong toes and bony aspects of our feet to create simple rhythmic stroke repetitions. Often times a therapist will find themselves seated in a chair or the floor while providing strokes. The use of overhead bars is not required but a body bolstering cushioning system is. We may stabilize our balance with the ashi-strap, a chair or any other balancing tools such as a bamboo staff rather than bars

Materials needed;
-Lay flat table, Thai mat, or full-length cushion OR Body Cushion
-4 twin flat sheets
-2 face cradle covers
-2 firm (not fluffy) standard or queen pillow
-1 king pillow (or body pillow)
-6 standard or queen pillow cases
-spray bottle sanitizer for your feet. Options; Wintergreen alcohol (Walgreen and CVS carry it)  Thieves oil or witch hazel (Dilute 50% with water.)
-No creams or holsters are needed for this class.
