Description:
In acupuncture, a meridian is a pathway or line on the body which vital energy is said to flow. Each meridian is associated with a season, emotions, personality traits, and physical ailments.
In this class, the student will learn about meridians; their locations in the body. the physical symptoms you may have when a certain meridian has an imbalance, and how to restore that balance with acupressure massage and essential oils. Students will also learn what essential oils correspond to those meridians and assist in moving stagnation in that meridian.
By the end of the class, students will be able to understand and explain the meridian system, locate and preform acupressure massage on all 12 meridians, evaluate and assess their client, develop a massage plan, be able to list essential oils that relate to each meridian and be able to perform an acupressure aromatherapy massage.
