Matthew Gavzy is a NY approved provider for continuing education via the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB 1726). All credit for the class, NYS and NCBTMB, will be awarded by Mr. Gavzy.
CEH’s and will be granted only to those who register and attend the entire class. No partial credit can/will be awarded.
Class Description:
This comprehensive course equips LMTs with essential skills to conduct effective clinical assessments, enhancing their ability to identify musculoskeletal imbalances, dysfunctions, and movement restrictions. Through hands-on practice and evidence-based techniques, participants will learn how to perform postural analysis, range of motion testing, myotome and dermatome tesing, ortho assessments, and palpation strategies to tailor treatment plans for optimal client outcomes. This course emphasizes clinical reasoning & thinking.
-This is a hands-on class, please bring your table, sheets and lubricant.
-Class size limited to 24.

We welcome all NYS licensed massage therapists, NYS professionals who are licensed to provide massage (physicians, nurses, podiatrists, physical therapists, chiropractors) and currently enrolled massage therapy students to our classes. Per New York State law, you must either have a New York State license to participate in the hands-on portions or, in the case of massage therapy students, be directly supervised by your instructor or other licensed massage therapist.

Cancellation:
Cancellations of more than 14 days prior to a class are eligible for a refund minus a $50 administrative fee. Cancellations less than 14 days prior to the class are not refundable. No shows are not eligible for refund or use on future classes. Cancellations are based on post mark or email date and all cancellations must be in writing. Exceptions made only with approval of the AMTA-NY Chapter Board of Directors.
Parking:
Parking is $5/day in the hotel lot. This lot is located kitty-corner across the street from the hotel and directly across the street from the lot labeled “Hotel Syracuse.”
Please bring your parking ticket with you into class and a sticker will be issued to reduce your parking cost.
** Please be aware, the hotel lot is NOT the lot adjacent to the hotel labeled “Hotel Syracuse” with the bridge to the hotel.
** If you park in the “Hotel Syracuse” lot, you will be charged more than $5/day and they will not honor our negotiated rate.
