Description:
There is so much misinformation out there about essential oils. Come learn from someone who is Clinically Certified in Aromatherapy and also a Massage Therapist! Learn the basics, history, contraindications, safety and 57 essential oil profiles and most importantly, the chemistry of the essential oils. In this class, you don’t just learn about essential oils, you learn which essential oils are best for a massage therapist to have and to use in their practice. Which essential oils will assist in pain relief are anti-inflammatory, and which essential oils soothe our clients’ emotions. In chemistry you will lean what therapeutic components are in the essential oils so you can pick the right one for your client. If you’ve been wanting to add aromatherapy to your practice, but don’t know how to start, this class is for you!

 


PRESENTER: Jennifer Sowle LMT
Jennifer Sowle, CCA, LMT obtained her Aromatherapy certification from the NY Institute of Aromatic Studies and her massage training from the Center for Natural Wellness School of Massage Therapy in Albany, NY. She has been practicing as both an aromatherapist and massage therapist for over 8 years. As a clinically certified aromatherapist, Jennifer is considered an expert in her field regarding essential oils. She is a professional member of the National Association of Holistic Aromatherapists and teaches several essential oil classes to massage therapists, bodyworkers and holistic healers. Jennifer is very passionate about essential oil education and brings that passion into every essential oil class she teaches. Jennifer is the owner and operator of Saratoga Aromatherapy and has a successful private massage practice.

CEHs and certificates will be granted only to those who register and attend the entire class. No partial credit will be awarded.

Cancellation requests made prior to 14 days of class start date are eligible for a refund less a $20 processing fee.
Requests made 14 or fewer days before the class will receive a credit less a $100 processing fee applicable for AMTA course offerings within a year of cancellation.
All cancellation requests must be made in writing and are based on date of post mark or email.

Any exceptions must be approved by the AMTA-NY Chapter Board of Directors.

Partial refunds for non-completed classes given only in emergency situations and with Chapter President’s approval.

We welcome all licensed massage therapists and currently enrolled massage therapy students to our classes.  Per New York State law, you must either have a New York State massage therapy license to participate in the hands-on portions or, in the case of massage therapy students, be directly supervised by your instructor or other NY licensed massage therapist.
