Class Description: This course is Part 2 of “Swedish Institute Certification in Manual Lymphatic Drainage: The Alatriste Method (TAM)”.

This course follows “Foundations of Manual Lymphatic Drainage” to culminate in the Certification in full body Manual Lymphatic Drainage treatments for non-clinical, therapeutic and esthetic applications.

Students will learn new techniques and refresh and perfect the skills from their Foundations training, while receiving instruction in 3 comprehensive “Structures” which comprise a full body lymphatic detoxification treatment, as well as specific treatments for pregnancy and postpartum and a “Spa” whole body treatment. These structures provide a foundation upon which a therapist can both build their MLD practice, and create individualized treatment protocols for each client. Applications include localized edema, athletic and occupation overuse, contour enhancement, auto-immune treatment support; perinatal; pain management; pre-surgical, stress reduction, etc.

Weekend 1: Full Body Detoxification

Weekend 2: Esthetic Treatment of the Face and Perinatal Treatment of the Breast and Edema of the Lower Extremities

Weekend 3: Full Body Spa Treatment, Written and Practical Exams

Upon completion of this part 2 course, students will be required to pass both written and practical exams to complete Certification in the Alatriste Method. Participants will then receive Certification to practice Manual Lymphatic Drainage for nonclinical, therapeutic purposes. (Please note that you will be given the opportunity to retake exams if you do not pass).
