Class Description:
The iliopsoas is an important muscle in lower body function and dysfunction. It is a hip flexor, but it also affects lower back and pelvic alignment. Deep, and back to front, it is often overlooked when the low back hurts. This course includes anatomy and assessment of the iliopsoas; common problems; balance of the psoas and abdominals; manual release techniques; strengthening the psoas; assisted stretching; and simple self-stretches to know and teach your patients.

This is a hands-on class. Please bring your table, lubricant, a pillowcase, paper and pen, and dress in comfortable clothes in which you feel comfortable being worked on and seen.

*****This is a hands on class and will require use of a massage table. There are no tables available at this venue, you will have to bring one.*****
